Gwen Taylor Gwen Taylor – Margaret
Gwen Taylor has appeared in some of this country’s best loved TV dramas and sit-coms such as Yes, Prime Minister, Inspector Morse, and Duty Free. She was nominated for a Best Actress BAFTA in 1990 for her role in A Bit of a Do, and played long-standing character, Peggy Armstrong, in Heartbeat. Most recently, she played Frank Foster’s mother, Anne, in Coronation Street. She continues to perform nationwide on stage, so we’re absolutely delighted that she has fitted us into her busy schedule to play the lead in Him Upstairs.
Ricky Tomlinson Ricky Tomlinson – Frank
Ricky Tomlinson is the English actor, comedian and activist best known for his roles in Brookside, Cracker and The Royle Family. He’s starred in numerous British films, such as Mike Bassett: England Manager. And as if he wasn’t busy enough, he also now runs his own cabaret club, the Green Room, in Liverpool. We’re therefore incredibly privileged to have Ricky on board to play Margaret’s beloved husband, Frank.
Kieron Richardson Kieron Richardson – James
Kieron Richardson has made appearances in Holby City and Heartbeat, but is best known for playing the role of Ste in Hollyoaks. Popular Kieron won a whole new audience in 2010 when he reached the final of Dancing on Ice. We are thrilled that Kieron has chosen to branch into film by playing James in Him Upstairs.
Michelle Butterly Michelle Butterly – Eileen
Michelle Butterly has enjoyed leading roles in Soldier Soldier and Casualty, and most recently featured in a series of Benidorm. Based in London, we’ve tempted Michelle back to her hometown of Liverpool to play Eileen in Him Upstairs.
